Learn More: Imagine the intensity of defense in basketball, the joy of running across a grassy soccer field, plus the diving catches and touchdowns of football, now add a flying piece of plastic – that’s our sport! Ultimate frisbee, or “ultimate”, is a game where players throw a disc to one another, trying to advance down the field towards the end zone to score. Ultimate is usually 7v7 on a field that’s a little shorter and a lot skinnier than a regulation soccer field. Ultimate is unique among competitive sports for being self-officiated, even at the highest levels, meaning players are responsible for calling their own fouls and resolving disputes through a code of conduct called Spirit of the Game.
